Bought a case on ebay w/live.com discount that cost me $495. I am already in Andrew's break tonight w/the Royals, Giants and A's.

Should I hold the case? sell? bust?

I am thinking that busting would ebt he best way to go since it did not cost me all that much.

Thoughts?

I would say bust it. Im planning on getting an 07 case sometime soon and this would cure the itch for the time being. But regardless of helping me, at under $500, it has great value.

I am guessing that on chromes alone, I should get about $150ish in SV. That would leave me at $350 to breakeven w/autos and all refs.

The redemptions take away any "fun" of holding the case for several years. I'd bust it open.

I would bust a box or two....in an effort to determine if you have a "green" case. It would be a real kick in the sack to open the case 2 years down the line and find nothing but green refractors.

Plus, I really don't see the value of holding draft cases more than 3 - 5 years.....it will be hard to support a case price (or significantly increase in value) as the key prospects start to become busts...as 99% do over time.

There is plenty of high grade material available from modern releases and people take care of their cards. What makes unopened vintage material valuable is the fact that people abused cards back in the day.

Today, everything goes into a penny sleeve and toploader.

Bust it....!

Bust it. Grade the base chromes and nice parallels and autos.

Is it really worth grading a base chrome? They sell for $3-$5 raw and the cost to grade is $6. How much does a 9.5 Price or Heyward go for?

15-18

Only time it is worth doing is when you bulk them.

Yea, either with a person who does a bulk submission or with a deal like the FCB break.
