Yes, it was pulled by a board member initially and then resold.

Sold at $3500 1 month ago and buyer couldnt finish paying off.
Already turned down $4500.

If stras is $16,400. This card is a steal.

Funny, Ive been offered $4500 (and passed) already..... A lot has happenend since I bought this at $1550. Heyward becoame a legit MLB beast and Stras reset the boundaries for an unsigned Super. I wouldnt be so sure $8000-10000 doesnt happen. If not thats fine too, Ill put it in a future product and let a lucky customer pull it!

I agree with you 100% that the market on these has changed significantly with the Strasburg sale. The prices on cards like these are set based on singular sales where a myriad of factors could have played a role. All it takes is a sale like the Strasburg to make people view this card as a good deal at $5000+, and many probably do not even recall what it went for just a couple months ago.

$8000 seems high with him having an auto'd Chrome Superfractor, but it would not shock me if someone sprang for it at that price.
