From a fresh box at the shop, I pulled this card out of a few packs:

Kelly Johnson #d 2/10 (jersey number)

If you were selling this card, would you list it BIN/BO or regular auction?

I haven't decided what I am doing with it yet. So looking for a little imput from other members.

Thanks

Nice pull!!

I'm a big fan of just letting auctions run their course. My Kearns below (I love this card that's why I'm showing it off) had a BIN on it and was listed 3 times without any interest. The fourth time it was a normal auction that started at $0.99 and ended higher than I thought it would (still less than the BIN though.)
Good luck either way

I've been mulling around the idea of ordering a case for fun. They're so much left sealed that there must be some great cards waiting to be pulled. I love the silks...I'd let it run auction style...if you're worried about not getting enough $$ for it...set a reserve.

I opened a pretty good amount of this and didn't pull one silk. My best hit came from the first box, third pack I opened on the release day. It was a Walter Johnson Rip Card numbered to 28. Listed it BIN that night and it sold in 5 minutes and 2 seconds lol.

Here's my Thomas silk...one of my purchases with the Johnson money (for a steal, like $75 if I'm remembering correctly)...

I hate those stupid windows on the front of the cards. I understand they're for the relics cards, but if they had to use them for the other encased cards, couldn't the put that stupid window on the back?

Other than that though, they are pretty cool looking cards.

I decided to post it with a 99.99 BIN/BO. I already have an offer, I think I might let it set for a day and see if any others come in.

good luck...

After looking at the closing prices of some of the other ones that have closed lately, I just took the guys offer.

69 dlvd - which is more than: David Wright, Joe Mauer, Prince Fielder, Rampage Jackson, Tom Glavine, Bigfoot and Tchaikovsky have gone for.

Nice cash on that. Think I picked up a Votto for 20-25.

The thing with cards like this is finding a player collector with deep pockets who knows he has a rival. Sometimes you don't know that until you put the card out there with a crazy BIN. Hey - it's $.15 and a weeks time to figure it out, so I'd say it's more than worth it.

I put Ellsbury silk up for $250/bo and someone hit the BIN. I did the same with DeJesus ($50) and Hochevar ($60). I took $50 for the Hochevar and had to relist the DeJesus three times (dropping $10 each time) and then just let it go at auction and got $38 for it, so go figure!
