Hello,everyone...

Just wanted to take a moment to notify you that we will no longer be relisting unsold autographs as they end. These will be used in an upcoming promotion/product in conjunction with the national convention.

More details will follow soon, but I can tell you that we will be including in this "special" project, RAZOR DISTINCTION AUTOGRAPHS, AUTOGRAPHED JERSEYS AND AUTOGRAPHED PATCHES OF MATT WIETERS PLUS SICK MEMORABILIA including a Mantle/ Maris PSA/DNA dual signed Baseball (both signed on sweet spot- rare!), Cleats worn in the Roger Maris film "61" by Thomas Jane who protrayed Maris, and Casey Kelly's FIRST PRO HIT FULL BAT!

PLUS, we will be doing something that EVERY company should do for its customers. A surprise treat!

Well let you know more as it becomes available.... BG

Three pages in and no one has picked up on this. Will this be using the design for Distinction that was floated around a few months ago?

I am curious about this as well, I am also curious about what their intentions are regarding '09 draftees.

I want to clear a few things up here.

Razor was never "banned" from posting here. They left of thier own free will. Since then they have contacted me and asked for permission to do various things. Permission I have gladly granted, which includes changing the name bgc go Razor.

I have and will continue to not let users change their name. Razor was given this consideration because of what they do as a company. Were this topps, dlp, UD, in the game, press pass, or if classic found a time machine and went forward and started making cards, they would be given similar considerations.

If you want a name change all you have to do is start a card company and get your product distributed nationally through traditional outlets like Razor entertainment does.

And to the people complaining about razor "pimping" a product, well that is how advertising works. They chose to advertise in this manner as a supplement to traditional means, so be it.

But I thought those weren't going to be produced out of respect for the loyal customers who bought Sig Series, Letterman, and then the metals
We were told this after the Letterman were selling slowly along with the metals. Some questioned whether this plan of not going thru with Distinction was just a way to keep some interested in buying Letterman and metals and feel comfortable that a new product wouldn't instantly make the letterman and metal worth less (not worthless but worth less). BG and then Adam said it was because of the above reason (make sure the first 3 product hold value and wanted to show gratefullness to original supporters) and also because of the economy

What changed? The economy? The gratefulness of the original supporters?

I don't think BG or Razor would go against their word
I would anticipate something totally different as far what is planned

his post only mentions one player, Matt Weiters.

It is a trade show, so don't expect a full product. It is probably just some sort of set of Matt Wieters cards.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but if you are going to allow a company to "pimp" a product, why are board members not allowed to "criticize" and or "bash" (whatever you want to call it) ? It seems like to me if you are going to allow one, you need to allow the other as well. I understand the whole beating a dead horse concept, but if you are not going to allow both.... it does look like there is a bit of favoritism being shown. Just my opinion.

Really wish Brian would answer my emails...

It is just rude in my book to not even answer after a month.

Just write something that he disagrees with (you'll get an immediate PM relating to legal action that may be taken)... :|
Agreed.
Or Talk reality about their so called "exclusives" having future autos SOON in upcoming non-Razor releases and rest assured you'll get PM's. ;)

I learned a long time ago to never believe anything Razor says until the product is released, so I will not be paying attention to this thread until it's something other than hype.

I think we're allowed to bash a product. But some members take it way over the top. Make your point. Be it praise or bashing. Then let it be.

Honest question, would you have rather the initial post come from cgilmo?

Keep in mind, Chris posts PR info (sometimes verbatim direct from the manufacturer) with some frequency so if the information is the same...does the source matter?

If Topps created a "PR" account and posted their updates would crucifixions still occur?

If a post is 100% PR without followup, most discussions will run their course. In the past Razor has (shoddily) attempted to quell discontent which has only fueled the fire.

They've already started again, first was the PR post then the follow up. Post the info like a press release and be done. The responsibility lies in them relaying their information correctly the first time eliminating all the other opportunities to follow up and screw up. Every information post is cute and coy about more details to follow or undecided special features. The ambiguities and inconsistencies in the statements invite criticism.

I agree, I think the PR posts are fine, it was the further discussion posts that always stoked the fire.
