CrowHop bailed on me, so who wants his ticket. There will be an autograph session with Brian McCann, and a silent auction.

Rome News Tribune said:
The Seventh Annual Hot Stove Gathering will be held at The Forum on Monday Jan. 26 from 5:00 until 7:30 p.m. and will feature several special guests.

In addition to Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann, Atlanta bench coach Chino Cadahia will be on hand along with third base coach Brian Snitker and former Rome players Jonathan Schuerholz, Wes Timmons, and Scott Schade.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Cancer Navigators in memory of former Atlanta Braves’ Minor League Field Operations Supervisor Jim Beauchamp.

Cadahia served as bench coach in Atlanta the past two seasons and previously worked as the Atlanta Braves’ Minor League Field Coordinator.

2009 will mark the third season Brian Snitker has served as third case coach in Atlanta. Prior to that he managed Triple A Richmond. Schuerholz and Timmons were members of the 2003 South Atlantic League Championship team along with McCann while Schade played in Rome in 2004.

The 2009 Rome field staff of Randy Ingle, Bobby Moore, Jim Czajkowski, and Allan Chase will also be in attendance.

Heavy hor d’oeuvres with food stations and drinks will be available. An autograph session in addition to a question and answer program will take place. Door prizes will be given throughout the evening.

A silent auction will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Items have been donated from Major and Minor League teams across the country.

Tickets for the event can be purchased online at http://www.romebraves.com at $30 per person, $15 for children 12 and under, and at the Rome Braves ticket office.

First one that can get to Rome Georgia tonight that claims it gets it.

My goal is to move back home sometime in the next year...if that happens, I'll have season tickets to the Rome games. Never had anything but a good time when I go.

You are from Rome? Nice, I lived there for a while. My mom still lives there, and I go to a ton of rome games.

I am. In Houston now, but I'm ready to head back east. As soon as I can land a decent paying job in the area, I assume we'll move.

Man...my cousins keep getting married in Rome, but never in baseball season or when something cool like this is going on.

Now they're all married off though.

I'm currently and have been working as an intelligence analyst for the past 2 years.

My education is in biology...specifically entomology and genetics...with a strong understanding of food science as well.

I'm attempting to break back into my field of study unless I can find a gov't job that screams my name.

In Rome, food science will be my best bet...that or GBI. I require 2 credits of schooling to qualify for any of their positions though. Without formal statistical training, my research and laboratory time means nothing to them...despite having used statistical analysis throughout my collegiate career.

I moved to Houston on a gamble that worked extremely well for awhile, but has proven to be less than lucrative in the end. I figure it's time to do something with more stability.

I wouldn't even know where to begin looking for that kind of job. I am in IT, and if it weren't for that I would not be able to do anything at all. I do not have a very well rounded skill set.

I don't assume I'll be able to move back any sooner than next winter. I hear Southeastern Mills needs a food scientist...so I'm going to investigate that possibility a little more. Other than that, no good leads as of yet.
