Very impressive. I've been wanting a Mike Schmidt patch/auto card for a while, and picked up one of these (a quad) recently. I thought about doing either the patch or barrel set, but came down to earth when I saw the prices on the Chippers and Jeters. It seems odd to me that Rice has so many copies of the barrel (140), compared to most anyone else, but I'm glad. I need one for my HOFer GU and auto collections.

Updated to add Ozzie Smith quad patch auto, and Chin-Lung Hu barrel slice auto. I may start picking up more of the autographs too so I added the triple I picked up recently.

Worth every penny IMO, That Ozzie is incredible!!!!!!!!!

Those patch autos are looking spectacular. Are you going to keep the ones that you have for the set or have you thought about upgrading the duals and triples to quads if the opportunity arises? Have the prices gone up much lately on both the patch autos and the barrel autos? I've been picking up some of the regular barrels, but have only bought the auto versions of Billy Williams and Jim Rice because the prices were so low.

They don't pop up much...the barrels have gained some because people are realizing that they are game used.

I'll probably upgrade some of them to quads. Problem is that the dual, triple and quad sets are all different. The hardest one to get will be Bo Jackson (only 5 dual patches in the set). According to the checklist Fisk only has 5 triple patch autos, but I've only seen (2) quad patch autos of his so I wonder if he's pretty limited too. Won't be able to afford the Griffey quad as the two that have sold went for over $700 (paid over $400 for the dual).

The autos patches have gone up some...I know someone bought a nice Jeter triple patch auto for under $200 when the product first came out, and the last triple didn't have as nice patches as the first one, and it went for close to $350.

Which patch are you referring too. The patches in the Griffey on this thread don't have blue in them...the one in the lower right has black in it.

updated today with Johnny Bench, Jason Varitek, and Kevin Youkilis barrel slice autos...things for both of these sets have slowed down quite a bit. I have a couple nice ones incoming including barrel slice autos of Chipper Jones and Cal Ripken Jr, and a Chipper Jones triple patch autos, but nothing after those. Recently missed out on an Ozzie Smith barrel slice auto, and there is a Yaz barrel slice auto on Ebay now, but the seller wants too much for it (has it with the barrel slice for $300 BIN...already made a nice offer, but it was auto declined...may make another offer).
