I bought this box of 2009-10 Panini Classics from the Long Island National for a relatively low price of $75. Panini Classics is an interesting product, because it includes a lot of high quality players, including all the key rookies and Kobe Bryant. There are 4 hits per box, and I’ve seen breaks where all 4 hits were rookie autos. I’ve also seen boxes where are 4 hits were plain jerseys too, so the spectrum on possible hits is very wide. I went in here looking for my first Stephon Curry, and did not get it. Here is how I did:
Legends:
Jerry West 124/999
Nate McMillan 199/999
David Robinson 202/999
Patrick Ewing 824/999
Kevin McHale Gold 50/50 (Did someone say 1/1?)
Classic Greats:
Bob Cousy 247/250
Hal Greer 23/250
Karl Malone Gold 49/100
Rookies:
Taylor Griffin 20/100
Here are my hits:
Robert Horry Blast from the Past Jersey 60/199
Kevin Garnett/Shaquille O’Neal Classic Confrontations Dual Jersey 35/199
DeJuan Blair Rookie Auto 430/999
Larry Johnson Blast from the Past Jersey Auto Redemption
My hits weren’t that bad, as Blair is a good player. I didn’t get something that blew my mind, but you can’t get that in every box that you buy and I had fun opening this box. Here is a link to my gallery, and all cards are FT/FS:
