A friend just called me and said he read it in the Union Tribune today that it will be at Petco.

Re: 2009 Aflac Game at Petco Park.....?...

The Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic is returning to San Diego. The game, which matches East and West All-Star squads showcasing the nation's top high school seniors of 2010, will be played at 5 p.m. Aug. 16 at Petco Park. The game was previously played at Tony Gwynn Stadium in 2006 and 2007.

I flew out there a few years ago and it was great but i dont want to have to fly out there everytime i want to see the game. I wish they would do it there one year and do it here one year and just keep rotating each year.

Hope it'll be televised like last year. I DVR'd it. :D

It is at 5pm because that is 8pm on the East Coast. I am sure the game will be shown on TV, and thus it will be in prime time.

I find that hard to believe. I can't imagine too many people outside of the player's families and friends and the real die hard baseball fans that would want to watch this game on TV.

There is the MLB Network with time to fill, CBS College Sports, ESPNU ... there are plenty of live events on those stations that many people don't care about. But I don't even know if the game will be televised .... just saying that the 5pm West coast start time could be because it would put the game on in prime time on the East coast.
