Quick question-
If 2009 BDP is going to have AFLAC autos (maybe use 2008 AFLAC) how does Bowman get the AFLAC cards? ---- do they buy them off secondary market or do they already have them put away?

If they bought the Heywards, Freemans, etc off secondary markey, did anyone sell any of the earlier AFLACs to Bowman?

The real question will be, how many of these players will make it into 2009 BDP?

If Razor has its' way, not many.

I wonder what Topps will do with all of the signed Skipworth, Beckham, Hicks, Martin, Devall etc AFLACS. Any ideas?

Wait for their appearance on the 25-man roster...assuming they make it that far...then release them.

Is it against the exclusive deal for Topps to sell them without putting them in one of their products? A pit.com type thing.

* cough Wade Miley cough *

I know you mean this jokingly but I have a gut feeling that there will be more exclusives than just Wade Miley being "wrongly" released over the next few years.

Good pub for all parties involved (any pub is good pub)

I hope not because that (EXCLUSIVITY) is why I invested in Razor

Doesn't having the autographs signed already prior to razor's contracts give them the grandfather clause to release them when a player is drafted?
I thought that the players had to make a 40 man roster to be included in a future release, but 08 bdp put them out anyway. If they didn't have to wait for Porcello or Bumgarner, etc, to be on a 40 man roster, what gave them the clearance to put them out now anyway? And also, what keeps them from putting out the rest of the guy's they already have signed?

The only criteria Topps follows when it comes to auto'd AFLAC's is 1) they have to be signed by their team, 2) they have to be signed by Topps.

Now, as for unauto'd, they also sign some sort of contract with Topps prior to the AFLAC game which allows their likenesses to be put on cards so that they can be distributed at the game. Topps is one of the sponsors of the game as well.

I was thinking the same thing considering Porcello was a Donruss exclusive this year. They might be ok as long as they were pre-Razor contracts. Of course I guess it all depends on the exact contract deal. Porcello's deal was obviously different because it was just autos with Donruss not everything.

Yeah, I was wondering the same? Tristar acquired the auto's & were able to distribute them throughout thier product, so why can't Topps use an autographed card (that has already been produced & signed) & add them to future product?

Tristar has image rights, Topps does not of those players.

Yeah, but they have already been printed beforehand. It's all speculation anyway without knowing the details of the contracts.
