Bought a box of BDPP:

of the chromes:

26 WBC...
3 Prospect/Draft Picks.

3 Chrome Prospects, in the entire box.

Oh, and Topps has excelled at douchebaggery, moving the NPN stuff completely out of sight. Douchebaggery.

I'm not asking for amazing, I'm asking for Draft Picks and Prospects, hehe.

I also think that it's terrible to justify poor collation with "it'll even out in the end".

While I spend a grand or so a week, not everyone does. I think when you buy a box of Draft Picks and Prospects, you should be getting draft picks and prospects.

I'm okay with people talking about "winners" and "losers" when you get a **** auto. That's different.

Collation isn't winners and losers though.

Out of 2 boxes, I had ZERO WBC chrome cards. The only WBC chrome that I got were refractors. Did they even make plain WBC chrome cards?

I'll trade you 26 WBC base chrome (i think there could be a refractor or two in there) for 26 Prospects Chrome :p

I agree. WBC cards really have no place in a Draft Picks box. It goes along the same line of baseball products that have other sports, actors and other garbage not even remotely related to baseball.

You spend $1,000 a week on wax? Man, talk about overkill.

I spend like $5,000 a year max.

You know what you are getting in terms of the possibility of WBC cards when you buy BDP, so the excuse that you should be getting draft picks and prospects is crap.

You can argue that the collation sucks, for some reason BDP has had these issues often

Well, I spent $5 this year. I was at WalMart and they had the $10 blasters on sale for half off. I couldn't resist! The funniest part is, I opened half the packs and got bored, and never got back to them.

I just get upset about the principle behind it and I get very, very upset with poor collation.

The experiences that've had with collation this year has been painful. It just screams laziness.

It's been pretty painful EVERY YEAR.

2008- you got montero, villalona and porcello base chrome in one box, or none at all
2007- cases full of green bordered refractors
2006- sotf
2005- sotf to the extreme

Oh, didn't realize any of the WBC guys were draft picks. :benson:

Also, the WBC has been worn out from Bowman, to Bowman Chrome, Topps, Topps Chrome...why insert in Draft Picks?

Eh, I haven't spent a grand in a few months. Keep in mind that while the Canadian Dollar may be at 94 cents, baseball card prices definitely don't reflect this.

In terms of *actual value* 1,000 CDN in Baseball = 700 USD. Of that, I'd say that about half is dedicated to singles.

So basically, it works out to about 2 trips to the card store at 2 or 3 boxes per trip.

Not just BDP, though.

Based on what I've seen, they're going out of their way to produce poor collation. Obviously I can't say that randomness can't account for terrible collation, but for the most part randomness will give you randomness within a couple standard deviations.

What topps is doing seems structured...

I just did an awful job explaining that.

Bowman Draft Picks AND PROSPECTS!!!
Why? International market still interested
People collecting Ichiro, Darvish, etc
Heck, even that member who collects Mexican players

I would rather have a WBC card inserted than some 33rd round singleA guy
