Do you like the look of the "new" superfractor, relative to the old?

My answer, no.

For a change, simpler does not equal better. I feel like the superfractor should have some more pizazz. Are these just poor examples?

Could someone legitimately pass over a superfractor without noticing it the first time through if they are just ripping through a case?

*disclaimer* Not my auctions.

Superfractor designs change year after year with Topps Chrome. Its actually good from a collecting standpoint IMO that they do change, the variety keeps it fresh believe it or not. I know in 2006 at least some of the auto'ed Supers had a different design than the non-auto'ed Supers.

I've never owned, pulled or held a superfractor so to me, the only important thing is the numbering 1/1. Outside of that, I never thought the look of the card mattered that much, but like everything else, to each their own.

So long as in person you can tell the difference between a superfractor and another version. It looks like that will still be the case but the scan of the first one looks just like a regular ref

This is nothing to do with anything said so far, but is anyone else annoyed by the rampant ignorance concerning 2009 Bowman releases so far?

All I've been seeing for the last few days is, "ZOMG, can you believe ALL the Bowman autos are on stickers this year?"
"Can you believe they didn't put Strasburg in Bowman?"

What's wrong with people? Idk, just a pet peeve of mine I guess. Sorry.

The superfractor this year does suck that bad lol. I am literally going to have to look at every card lol which is fun don't get me wrong, but annoying at the same time. ::facepalm::

I have to imagine in person they will be easy to tell apart.

The person who designed this should be fired immediately. Honestly a 1/1 card should stand out and look very different and much better then any other card in the set.

I have pulled 3 superfractors [2 basketball--i nonn-auto and 1 auto] 1 football LT auto superfractor and these are by far the worse I have seen, but let's face it if we pull one it become the nicest card immediately, as look as it breings a good roi.

I like the look of the new X-Fractors. Its hard to tell they are even Xfractors at first. I guess that is the same way the Supers look now, I cant really tell from the scans though. I ithink they were trying to make people happy by making the Xfractor lines less obvious.
I hope they change the design for draft so that when I pull the Strasburg Super I dont think its just a refractor or something. I had too look at the back of my 2009 Bowman cards to see if I had anything numbered. I really couldnt even tell the XFractors and Refractors apart from the base chrome when I opened 2 HTA boxes yesterday. I wish I had the money back that I spent on those boxes. I ended up with only about $20 worth of cards from that product.

While prospecting is relatively easy for us to understand because we've been around it for a long time, this is not the case for the average person on the street.

Bowman is different than collecting base Topps or Topps Chrome for instance which are easy for pretty much anyone to understand.

Bowman in particular really needs to be easily and readily understood by all in order for it to make a lasting impact on the hobby.
