Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break--TAKING PAYMENTS

Does anyone have the AFLAC checklist?

I see there are 208 spots in the break, and 187 in the cards in the set. Are there really 21 AFLAC autos?

Edit: Seems like most of the AFLAC's have chromes or chrome auto's. Where did the 208 number come from?

LOL. I was going to ask same but figured All the Hype did it correctly
I know that if soemone chooses ZWheeler, Davidson or Stonecipher, they get both the BDP and the AFLAC

Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break--TAKING PAYMENTS

I might be totally wrong here so forgive me if that's the case but:

base cards = 1-55 so ============ 55 cards
BCProspect auto = 76-97 =========== 22 cards
Prospects = 1-75 ============== 75 cards
WBC = 1-35 ================ 35 cards

187 total PLUS 3 AFLAC guys who dont have base/auto = 190 spots
is the above # of 3 AFLAC players w/o any other 2009 BDP card correct?
also assuming checklist not a spot

where is 208??

all aflacs without a regular card are one slot. but i see what youre saying. it appears there should only be 188 total slots.

Unfortunately you guys are right., I miscalculated the # of slots. If you look at the checklist, it goes 1-55 and then 76-97. I counted this as 97 slots not realizing that 56-75 didn't exist, which means there should have only been 188 slots instead of 208.

Currently working on figuring out a fair solution to this, will keep everyone updated.

i already offered to allow him to refund my 5 slots. so he is 15 slots over. if anyone else is willing to give up a slot or two it might help.

Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break--TAKING PAYMENTS

I bought 10 spots
If everyone pays in next few days and you need to have someone drop out, I can drop out without any hard feelings
It actually might be easier if you just took ten away from me than a few here, a few there, etc
Just reimburse me my 40 bones via gift format (paypal = [email protected])
I already opened 6 boxes so i got my rush and watching the break will be fun

Not sure if you still were going to give away two as prizes from baseball board
If you don't, I think people will understand considering what happened with the honest error and all

The way I would do it is take the people who havent paid yet out.

Once this is all sorted out and the draft takes place, I'd be willing to make a deal with whomever gets Ryan Jackson and Chris Herrmann

That would be fair.

Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break

It appears another problem to consider is the fact that the slot pricing was done for 208 slots not for 188 thus making the price a tad higher.

Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break

188 x 4 = 752 (the minimum collected)
188 x $4.50 = 846 (max collected)

guesstimate on price of case = $675 (assuming no bing......if bing, more power to all_the_hype)

penny sleeves, top loader, bubble mailers, shipping price

probably some out there too who get very lousy pick that might jusy say "keep the cards" after seeing what they end up with

plus ATH gets to keep all of the checklists :ugeek:

Since I am a discounted person with $4 per pick since I requested 10 slots, I am fine if you decide to reimburse me via paypal gift. You are going to have to chop some people off. For your sake, ATH, maybe you would want to keep as many $4.50 and $4.25 guys as possible.
I would prefer to be reimbursed for all of my slots than only get portion and then pay more more than $4 a slot.

I am not sure if/when some of the nonpayers intend on paying. I notice one name on there that was a pain to collect from during fantasy football season. Hopefully they got back to you after you sent PM

I will give up my 3 spots for this.
I'm not into prospecting that much so I will let a die hard prospector take my slots.

Re: 2009 Bowman Draft--Player Draft Break

**********PLEASE READ**********

Unfortunately it's looking like this break is going to be canceled. All payments will be refunded in full.

The only obstacle we will have to deal with is that as soon as I had received enough payments, I bought the case (to get the break moving), so the money is not in my paypal account right this second. This is not a problem, as I will cover the case with my own money and refund everyone with that, but the only thing is I'm currently waiting for more money to transfer into my account so it will take a couple days. Everyone will have full refunds by Wednesday at the absolute latest.

I apologize to everyone who signed up for this break. I know a lot of people were excited about it (myself included), but planning for 20 slots that don't exist really throws a wrench into this process.

Any questions can be directed at me either in this thread or via PM. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Far enough.
If you decide to regroup, and try this again with the case incoming, please count me in for 4 slots instead of 2. ;)

Thanks for the support, not sure what the fate of the incoming case will be at this point, but I'll let you know if it turns into another group break (if it does, I'll make sure we have the correct # of slots ::facepalm:: ).

why can't you just ask everyone that has a slot to pay an extra 50¢ per slot and that would makeup the difference
