So Gerhart wins the award for best RB in the country but another RB wins the Heisman? Doesn't make much sense.

in the past it seems like it has been like this before as well, they like to give at least one award out to the person who doesnt win the heisman...also ingram is on an undefeated team and the point of the game is to WIN which he has helped his team do.

That happens quite often
Guy wins Heisman and another wins Walter Camp or Dave O Brien (or whatever)
Different group of voters with different standards
(plus some allow underclassmen while others only for best SR, etc---although I understand both guys here = underclassmen)

I don't have a big problem with Ingram winning, although personally I would have voted for Spiller and among the finalists, I would have chosen Gerhart.
