FCB still getting the Mad Dog? I read where Blowout is bringing in MMA fighter Rich Franklin to sign for a couple days.

They need to tell their friends at UD to do the same thing and then maybe Topps will follow suit and then we can put an end to the fake patches.

UD announced about a week ago that they'll be doing this as a test for 2009 The Cup. If all goes well, they'll likely continue this onward.

ALL of these cards will be sealed in a holder by an exclusive uncirculated sticker

This is a smart thing to do. I'd would do this on all high end releases. Kinda how Sport Kings does it.

5. Lastly, for the first time ever. RAZOR will be doing something the hobby has been begging for. We will be scanning and making available on our website prior to the event, scans of every patch card in the product. We strongly despise the fake patch epidemic currently under way and we feel this takes a vital step in assuring consumers DO NOT get taken advantage of by less than honest sellers.

This is really a nice step in the right direction. A much needed addition to the hobby. Big thumbs up for this. Hopefully, like has been mentioned by others UD and Topps will take notice and follow suit.

I know Razor takes a lot of heat here by some, but stuff like this has to be seen as great by everyone.

I do understand the reason behind it though.

And now that I see that they are going to pack out the metal autos that didn't sell on ebay, I'm less angry about being told that the unsold Cowgill's were not available. :lol:

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with them being certified auto cards...that were not signed. They can't very well sell them with a RAZOR guarantee of authenticty.

The could stamp them as rejects or something..... :arrow:
I think it also has something to do...maybe with assuring possible future value?

Destroying the cards = what was promised months and months ago to ensure the limited amount of cards in existence
Razor doesn't need to hire me for me to love them.
Sticking to their word and fulifilling promises is good enough

They are the unsigned base metal cards. They had x number available on ebay for 30 days and said the unsold would be destroyed.

nope, he is talking about the metal base cards, not metal autographs


when they were sold it was understood that the remainder would be destroyed

im guessing hes talking about being licensed by the players

that has been a marketing detail of theirs for a while now.
