Some of it looks cool. I have to say that I'm tired of seeing Obama pop up in every freakin card set made... Some of the culture/history cards seem boring as well. I usually don't like the stuff that doesn't belong. I buy football cards to get football cards, not William Scranton.

BTW - Who the bloody hell is William Scranton!?

EDIT - I Googled William Scranton. He's a former Lt. Gov. of Pennsylvania. I live in PA and still didn't know who he is! Crap card.

Actually the city was named after someone else higher up the family tree. The card doesn't say exactly who though.

I thought that too at first, but read the Wiki on him, and not really. Here's a quick skinny for anybody interested. Wow, did I just say "quick skinny"? Anyways, it seems his family did more than him  Basically, his political life wasn't really all that meaningful.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Scranton

Scranton family members were the founders and patriarchs of the city of Scranton, Pennsylvania.

His maternal ancestors came to America on the Mayflower.

Though a freshman Republican, he quickly gained a reputation as an outspoken centrist and supported much of President John F. Kennedy’s social agenda including civil rights and the Peace Corps. The media quickly dubbed him a “Kennedy Republican.”

As Governor, he signed into law sweeping reforms in the state's education system including creation of the state community college system, the state board of education, and the state Higher Education Assistance Agency. Furthermore, he created a program designed to promote the state in national and international markets and to increase the attractiveness of the state's prouducts and services.

He kind of ran for President or Vice President, but lost his party primary to Barry Goldwater.

Scranton's son, William Scranton, III served as Pennsylvania's Lieutenant Governor under Richard Thornburgh. He ran unsuccessfully for governor in 1986 and was for a while considered a leading candidate for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in 2006 but ultimately dropped out of the race.

I opened a few packs of this stuff and it is very bland looking in my opinion.
