Some observations:

1. The variants of the SSPs are NOT Rookie Cards.
2. Variants/SSPs come with a regular rookie in the pack, if you get 2 rookies, 1 of them is an SSP/Variant.
3. I was getting either an SSP or Variant in every box is opened

Wow, quick release on the SPs. It was nice when there was a delay because you could gamble on what you thought would be and try to make a few bucks or something... Thanks for the info.

Did they just take all of the top draft picks and make them SP? Most people buy Prestige for the rookies, and when all the top rookies are short printed, its going to make people angry. I could see a couple top picks, and the rest 2nd and 3rd round prospects.

It appears Prestige will now be the 1st 09 licensed issue too, UD draft edition is now delayed until late May. In fact, UD has pushed back all of its FB release dates:

NFL Draft Edition - In Store date moves to May 26th
NFL Heroes - In Store date moves to June 16th
NFL Icons - In Store date moves to July 7th
NFL Philadelphia - In Store date moves to August 4th

Did they just take all of the top draft picks and make them SP? Most people buy Prestige for the rookies, and when all the top rookies are short printed, its going to make people angry. I could see a couple top picks, and the rest 2nd and 3rd round prospects.

No they did not, guys like Crabtree are not SPed. There never has been any rhyme or reason as to the SP picks in this prospect.

Yup, yup. Take another look at the list, guys. I used Ctrl+F personally. The SPs are all variations/parallels of a regular RC. Not all the regulars have SPs, but it looks like all the SPs have regulars.

and the cardboard pain starts. I may have missed one but there is only 1 seahawk rookie....and he is SP'ed. ::facepalm:: This year I say we just take our place back on top of the division so we can get a lower draft pick
