I recently bought some boxes of 2009 SP Authentic Football from my main dealer Dan, who is located in Long Island. I picked 2 boxes of the then new stuff and not being a big football fan, forgot to open it until today. I really like this set as it incorporates on-card autographs and a top tear set. I was looking for a Mark Sanchez to bring to the upcoming Long Island National card show in 2 weeks. I like the look of the set as it has a classic set design, which is similar to this year’s baseball set. Here is how I did:
Autographs:
Jason Smith – Authentic Autographs
Chris Ogbonnaya – Rookie Authentics – 3/999
Austin Collie – Rookie Authentics – 245/799
Quinn Johnson – Rookie Authentics – 190/999
Autograph Patches:
Juaquin Iglesias (Gold) 4 Break Patch – 18/25
And the big big hit of the 2 boxes
Matthew Stafford 2 Break Patch 79/499
The patch for the Stafford looks like its from the name plate, so its kind of a letterman patch. Overall, the Stafford patch really made my break and it’s a heck of a card. You can check out the scans at :
