I put together a set of 2009 Topps Chrome and I even have the Obama. I still need a few autos to finish everything, but my question is about the 2009 Topps Update. I have seen Topps Chrome pulled from the box loaders of Topps Update.... does anyone have a checklist of the updated Topps Chrome? I have only seen about 5 different cards and I was considering adding these to my 2009 Topps Chrome set.

Thanks

IMHO - I don't think it's worth adding the Update Chromes to your Chrome set. I have a Chrome set myself and I would not add the UH Box Loader Chromes to it. Some of the cards are actually repeats - it's just another ploy for Topps to remanufacture the same thing and pass it off as something different. And to make it worse, these UH box loader cards aren't even numbered like they have been in the past.

In 2007 Topps Chrome for example, the Chrome cards (#/415) were inserted as box loaders in UH and they are truly unique because the players did not appear in the regular 2007 Chrome product (to my knowledge). Pence, Lincecum, Braun, etc.

But in 2009, you have pure repeats in both the base Chrome set and in the UH box loaders. Granted, the box loaders are Refractors, but they aren't even numbered. I posted the checklist below - look at all the repeats - Hanson, Beckham, McCutchen..... However, there are some players that did NOT appear in the base set. Maybe these are worth adding.

its doubly a ******** move since they're refractors...."we're not not going to number them, but they're refractors this year...oooooh, ahhhhh". so tell me now, what's the differentiation between refractor and base? nothing but shininess, nothing.but.shininess.

The updated Topps Chrome is more that I expected. I see your point... I might pick up a few or find a partial set to finish on fleabay. Thanks for the checklist.
