2009 Topps Chrome Baseball, shipping late July, features Rookies and Prospects galore!

With the recent World Baseball Classic, the baseball community got to see some of the game’s up and coming talent from across the globe… Yu Darvish (Japan), Norichika Aoki (Japan), Hisashi Iwakuma (Japan), Masahiro Tanaka (Japan), Yoennis Cespedes (Cuba) and Aroldis Chapman (Cuba) just to name a few.

These young stars are some of the 100 different WBC players in this year’s Topps Chrome offering.

And to boost this list of future stars, every hobby box guarantees 2 Autographed Rookie Cards featuring the likes of Matt LaPorta, Koji Uehara and Elvis Andrus. There are 23 in all.

If they put some decent prospects in there than they will be doing something. There are some top guys in the minors right now that do not have first year autos.

Topps Chrome is Rookie Logo autos on stickers only.
No prospect autos as far as I know.

would make it better for some people. sometimes id rather have autos of guys that have proven themselves for a cople seasons, rather than some guys who just got drafted and we dont know what to expect. just my opinion.

This just reminds me of how true the famous "New Yorker's View of the World" comic art is and that some people are just myopic. Just place first year cards in the foreground and there you have a similar analogy.
