2009 Topps Jumbo's

Hello: I'm sure this has been talked about, but what is so special about this product? I purchased a box and I not sure how I did. I'm guessing there must be SP's or something that makes the product so hot.

I pulled:
WBC Rookie rising stars card
Auto was of Steve Pearce??
GU - Josh Anderson
Black Chrome - Luis Ayala #50/58
AU - Letterman Ty Cobb - GA Peach - the "G" #21/50
Just the standard 1 gold, 1 Legends, 1 Turkey, ` ring of honor, 1 Topps town.

Unless there are some short prints - this doesn't look like $100 box to me, but the Cobb is really cool.

That's what I don't like about what I have saw from 2009 Topps - a great number of the autographs have been Steve Pearce or Eddie Kunz.

Topps tends to be a hot product every year cuz there are always a couple of people trying to do a master set of it.

i think it's for set collectors as well as some amazing logo patch #/20 chases as well as the #1/1 lettermen's that drawing people. plus, the auto checklist such as chipper, world series relic/relic autos are also the chasers

of course, there are stinkers like all other box breaks.

Yeah most people who bust this (outside of these boards anyway ) are also interested in the base cards - of which you did not mention... Interesting if not ironic that the folks who get the value of base cards don't usually understand Bowman, Razor, etc. either.

Also you should have received at least five times as many Golds, Legends, Turkey Reds, Ring of Honors, Topps Town.

you guys are freakin hilarious! It was the 1st Topps "regular" box I purchased in a few years. So I "Pressed my Luck", remember that game show? Anyway, win some, lose some. I figured maybe shorter print runs due to the economy. Oh well I will sell what I can.

Are there any SP's in the set anyway?

Oh I did pull a Brad Ziegler Rookie card, so watch out Beckett, you can't corner the market without my card!

There are SPs - there are past players in the set (e.g. Ruth is 1b). The only alternate card of a current player is CC Sabathia in an airbrushed Yankee jersey (see below):

The board's seen some spectacular patch pulls out of the jumbos this year, like:

But, as you saw, a lot of the boxes are hit or miss.
