I had the guts to open two packs today. I love the idea of "themes" so you don't know the specific player in your pack. I pulled a triple crown winners pack:

Dan Haren topper base/50
Rogers Hornsby 6 bat piece/25

And I got excited when I saw the ribbon for my second pack "1930's all stars":

There is a six piece GU/auto of Nolan Ryan on the bay that is horrible. I hope the Darryl Kile ends up looking halfway decent (and that nobody else goes after it) :lol:

I've sold the hornsby and greenberg back to the dealer- he will be putting them up for sale i'm sure.

I realize that. I just saw the checklist, and there are only 20 total 1/1 cut auto/game used cards. And even though this was a REALLY difficult pull, I kind of got that Michael Felix super-reflector feeling where I was SO close, yet so far.

The Mize is probably the third worst cut auto I could have pulled, beating out only Spahn and Stargell. It could have been...........oh, I don't even want to think about it!

There are only 10 jumbo patches in the set as well, and Yaz is nice, but missed the Mantle by 1 card number.....ok, ok, call me a pessimist.

I'm still thrilled with my pulls, and yes, I got Extremely LUcky!!!

Thanks man. They still have the disclaimer that states the relics are not from any specific game or event, but at least they state the pieces are game used.

Yes, game used. But they do not state the pieces are actually game used by the person shown on the front of the card. Sneaky lawyer speak I suppose.
