2009 Topps triple thread, the early leader for POY

but this product has been DRASTICALLY improved from 2008

When the voting for FCB product of the year goes live in January, I expect this set to get a ton of votes.

It really has something for everyone

Definitely one of the better products, but at its price, its probably not for the guy looking to make a quick buck. Still lots of lesser name hits. But it is one of the few remaining products with nice HOF hits. Overall a quality effort, but in some ways, it is trying to be too much to everyone.

every product has its negative aspects


but the amazing hits outweigh the choppy cards that try and spell out weird stuff

Yea, different strokes for different folks I guess. I'll probably pick up a couple cards to check it out, but previous years left a lot to be desired in condition and quality in my eyes. I'm also not a huge fan of a million parallels in a high end product. To me it's basically an expensive version of Moments and Milestones, but if others enjoy it then all the power to them.

I will give Topps credit for some of the crazy bat knobs/logo patches/fold out jumbo patches. It's nice to see something different, even if I can't afford to own them.

Recycled product, crappy design, millions of parallels, sticker autos, high price with lots of crappy hits to be had. Bat knobs are very nice, as was that triple auto, but most of the patches are event worn for about a minute, other than that, meh.

I'm sorry but it doesn't get my vote for POY, maybe that's just me...

I'm looking forward to Ultimate if last year was any indication of what they can do. I'm also intrigued by Topps Unique.
