2009 Tristar Autos Dont Look that bad

All base autos are limited to 199 which I find somewhat odd.

That may be true about the Gwynn card, but it has nothing to do with this thread.
That's like posting about an ugly Upper Deck Legendary Cuts card in a thread about Upper Deck Icons.
Not all TriStar cards are like that Gwynn, and this new prospects set looks great.

Tristar did nothing for the MiLB brand over the entire length of the contract. Nothing at all and therefore they deserved to be denied a renewal.

I'm very interested in seeing what Topps does with it.

thats one of the worst products ever.. true

but some tristar products are actually pretty sweet.

2008 Projections is really nice- just the all around feel, the parallels, refractors etc etc
this looks to be another solid product too

honestly, i don't really mind Tristar Projections, or Tristar Prospects Plus. A David Price 2008 Bowman Chrome Prospects Auto is the same auto on his 2008 Tristar Projections card. I don't mind them. I will probably buy them

100% agreed. I just find it unfortunate that Tristar finally comes up with a decent design and limited quantities after their deal expired - a huge failure on their end.
