That Brett looks great with the changed UD logo on the holograms from the previous 90's posted.
it makes me wonder if there are hologram variations out there.

Thanks to EXP once again for completing this set (unless UD released a 1991/2011 one). Pretty proud of this one.

I did pick this Butler I sent you out of a different set, the first one had minor soft bottom left corner. I've tried my best to send out the best available copy of each card.

No problem. Congrats on completing the set. Too bad there isn't a 1991 set, that set is loaded! I'd come out of pocket for a Jordan Sox RC.

I would be happy with a scan of both Griffeys for thepclist.com ...
I could not compete against the Griffey guys but would be happy with a scan.

Thanks

TNP it looks as if Upper Deck bought some factory sets to stamp these and like you
or someone said probably ran it through the process and then lost their rights and scrapped it.
Probably put it back in the box and on a shelf somewhere before someone took them home in
their lunch pail.. So there will not be a no TM Line variation as those where in packs.
I remember reading somewhere that making holograms is very costly so I highly doubt these
were made in someones basement? My question was how did he know that these 2 green sets
where different then the 1000's he has seen at the swap meets? He says he didn't know about
them until he got home and opened them? My guess is he is some how tied to Upper Deck? Either
an x employee or a friend/relative?

Since you have 2 sets, if you ever decide to let go of the other Sabo, please let me know. I wouldn't mind having both of them.

I also can't understand why not list these on eBay? Yes I know that FCB member are paying well but an open auction should yield FAR more money. This is what makes me concerns me since eBay is a large open public space.

If I were confident and had zero fear of reprisal I would list list list.

Lack of knowledge of the fees is what kept me away. But, now that I have a better understanding and I do have one card listed at the moment.

Judging from the sale, I would think you did better on FCB... George. Here's a crow. Now eat! :D

I'll have some free time between now through Thursday night. I'm heading back to SD Friday and will not be available over the weekend.

Busting the 2nd set, PM me or check my eBay.

Thanks.

Received my Robin Ventura promptly.

I have to say that I am undewhelmed by the card, especially vs. price paid. More so after seeing the two Ryan's and Griffey close on ebay recently.

My copy was an 8, if anything, which was a major let-down for me, considering how clean 1990 UD cards usually are out of the packaging, especially factory sets and how nice everyone else's looked.

I should've known better than to give any credence to the Aqueous comparison as with errors and variations, if it's unlisted and has little known info within the greater collecting community, it will almost always sell for far less, even than a much more abundant, cataloged error/variation. Had Expo pushed to get these listed in Beckett/SCD, these could potentially pull triple digits on a few players. I probably should've just gone for it at auction.
