I just got an update from topps correcting an error in thier release

Just a note… the release I sent out on Bowman said there would be 1 Chrome Prospect Auto and 2 Rookie Chrome Autos in the Jumbos.

It should be 2 Chrome Prospect Autos and 1 Rookie Chrome Auto

And all is once again right in the world.

OH HALLELUJAH!!!
The Gods love us!

I'd wish the X-Fractor was not discontinued at the expense of the high SN of our beloved Blue-Refractor. Anyone else believe that a full Chrome rainbow looks odd with the color jump:

Purple
Refractor
Blue
Gold
...
Superfractor?

I would prefer for the Refractor to be the lesser of the last two (i.e., Refractor, Purple, Blue...)

What the noobs wouldn't know is that Topps will always eventually shake up the print runs of their parallel versions from all sets.

I'm waiting for Topps to make a set with just one parallel - a Superfractor numbered to 50 or some crazy thing. Boy, that would screw up a lot of people...but everyone (except noobs) will remember the year that happened.

I think this effectively lowers the value of ALL blue refractors even in older products.

Why?

Collectors from now on (if they dont drop it again) will assume blue refractors are of a certain level of rarity (in this case, 250 copies).

If you dont believe me, ask a noob collector what a 2002 Zach Greinke Refractor is serial numbered to.

If they say, i don't know, probably between 500-599 or maybe not even numbered at all, you'll see my point.

They have Superfractors /10 in FB products which really screwed me up the first time I saw that.

Not me, Topps.

And yes they will do it one day :)

Wasn't 2000 BC's structure a little different?

So what set are the Stras autos going to be part of? The non-chrome base Bowman auto sets? I'm right in assuming that he won't have any sort of Chrome card I think, but what will the print runs be of his autos?

One of the pics shown by Topps included a base Bowman Chrome of him.

It's all so confusing. I think I'm going to do at least a case of Jumbo. It seems like the worst idea to not go Jumbo if you're buying a case.

I'm of the unpopular opinion that they never should have made Oranges because they devalued Golds to Me. I like Superfractors but I tjust loved the relative simplicity of the Ref/Xfract/Gold set up. I think Topps overreacted to this recent purple curiosity. I just hope this doesn't hurt existing xfractors. I'd bought several of the 09 BDP guys as xfractors because they were terrific value buys but now it doesn't look as good

i actually like Xfractors. seeing them go sucks. i loved the tighter checker pattern they used in 09 BC

Sam here. I thought that they had FINALLY got the X design right. It was nice and tight. Sad to see it go.
I LOVE the look of blues and I'm not that happy to see them jump to 250.

So are Jumbo cases considered Hobby??

Just ordered 4 cases and want to make sure I will still have a chance of Red Refractors and/or Superfractors.. Might have to change my order if they are not..

Does anyone know??

Thanks,

Everything that's in Hobby boxes should be available in Jumbos.
