2010 Bowman Chrome Slabs Appearing Rapidly

First let me say that Stras is a tough pull in any format (be it base, Chrome, auto, parallel etc...) from 2010 Bowman, I think he may even be short printed, or deliberately seeded in such a way to drive sales. That said, I think those Top 100 cards are underrated and undervalued, particularly his. I have opened up many many packs of 2010 Bowman both hobby and retail from different sources at different times in different packaging (i.e. regular hobby packs, jumbos, retail packs, blasters) and in that time, I have come across (count em...) TWO Strasburg cards, a base and a Chrome. Not a single Top 100 card of his graces my collection, though I do have Heyward's Top 100 card and it gets a little more respect from me now that I have seen just how tough a pull it actually is; by way of comparison, I have pulled Heyward's base RC four times...

The inserts (like expectations and top 100) are always harder to pull, that's no surprise. It is also no surprise though that they sell for far less than the base card. This is the way its been forever really, people like the standard rookie card and they like chrome better (in spite of the fact that there are only about 25% more base cards printed chrome sell for more than 2x the price).

Agreed. While they both may be "inserts" one is...well, more of an insert. And one is Chrome. I wouldn't spend ridiculous money on on the Topps 100.

And people, the insert is "Topps" 100. Not Top.

What do you all think of the Gem pricing of Strasbburg's bowman auto's?

Will they stay around $1K?

I think they will roughly, unless he has just an awful debut tonight.

Last one went for $900.

If I can pick up a mint raw copy for less than $10 delivered, and I think I can no problem; I think that is money well spent on an undervalued, very attractive, and unappreciated Stras card...

Yup sold the strasburg sometime when he was pitching. The Harper got sold within 1 hr of posting.
