Btw, now that the product is live, I'd just like to thank Topps for NOT including a certain sandwich guy who plays for the Motor City's organization.

This actually really annoys me... I checked time and time again for Olt and Brentz on the checklist and they were never there, so I bought into a ton of the EEE auto's thinking they'd be the only ones. Pretty annoying to see them included now.

One thing I've learned about EEE over the years is that you should never invest too heavily into anyone until after Topps has released its' draft offerings first.

Eventhough its way overkill, I do like the fact that the big rookies from this year (Ike etc). have another Bowman "rc logo" card. Helps with the breaks and finally we get a Posey card.

I dont know about you guys but I am Jason STOKED that Jay Sborz finally has a rookie card........seven years after the fact

Although this might be the year I finally got it right....

Jake Thompson not making the checklist is huge for me, ditto for Linton.

I was actually hoping they WOULD include him. I didn't go after Elites in anticipation of this. I assume he'll be in 2011 Bowman though. The checklist doesn't look that great to me...I believe the RC guys are essentially identical to the RC guys from 2010 Bowman Chrome. Not that I expected anything better than this from Topps..but geez, how lame can you get.

glad lipka didn't reappear as an auto, would also be glad that he is a base card but past years have shown thats no guarantee he won't get a second year auto... light on braves all around this year

Surprised Kimbrel or Minor or Beachy didn't sneak into end of year sets with their debuts at the end of the year

My quick observations....

1. We'll be drowning in Albert Almora USA autos soon enough. Topps' decision to include him on the 16U AND 18U checklists is beyond stupid. Yes, I know he played for both teams, but make one card and note on the back of his 16U that he played 18U as well. Not really that tough.

2. Nice to see some names NOT included. Matt Lipka comes to mind, along with Nick Castellanos and Mike Antonio. Doesn't mean they won't be in later releases, but it helps the other stuff we all bought.

3. Aflac Autos? no checklist?

4. Still won't buy any wax. Singles for me!

5. Singleton Platinum Autos just got a HUGE bump.

They've never appeared on these insert checklist cards to date.

So overall are you happy with the final checklist? Do you see cases prcies going up, down or remaining the same?

I'm curious what people think about this too.

The USA 16U Auto checklist has 20 subjects.

The USA 16U team roster has 21 players.

This is the player they decided to bump (or didn't ask/get to sign).....

Does anyone know the fill in players for the TBD's?

That is the entire point of this thread. Follow the link in the first post.

It is? I realize who the TBD Autographs are, but not the base cards. The base cards that were originally TBD's do not match the numbers on the checklist. I was wondering if anyone knew offhand who the fill in TBD's were.

REMOVED: Dan Klein, Robby Rowland
ADDED: Drew Vettleson, all of the autograph guys (went from 25 to 32), 20 of the 16U guys
CHANGED: Lipka went from an auto to a base card.

I think that's about right...

One thing that stuck out to me-it's nice to see Topps add players of value to the auto checklist, when they need to expand the auto checklist.

Choice, Cox, Grandal, Brentz are nice additions. Glad to see them adding players that should bring nice value.

+1
I do agree these are nice additions.

Nick Longmire a base set addition gets some love from BA as the 8th ranked prospect in the NY-Penn League.

they had nice things to say and Cards prospects traditionally sell nicely.
