It shouldn't. Boise State was ranked 3rd before they played a game. They were ranked 3rd after they played their first game.

Furthermore, TCU won't jump them. Texas might lose against Wyoming (I'm at the game, UT looks awful). Nebraska isn't jumping three spots. Oregon isn't jumping 4 spots unless they beat Tennessee 167-2. You could make a case for OU, but they had a ****** game last week. Plus Florida St sucks

The only way Boise St. misses the BCS title game (assuming they run the table) is if there are two unbeaten BCS schools.

I think any 1 loss Big 12/Big 10 or SEC team would jump Boise, especially if it's an SEC team who's only loss is to 'Bama.

As a TCU/Boise supporter, I honestly thought they had to beat VaTech by about 20 to stay in the Title game hunt. Maybe if they hammer Oregon State, and the Beavers have a good rest of the year, that MIGHT help.

I really think Boise was screwed even before the Hokies lost to JMU.
