I opened 6 of these boxes(18 total autos) and got killed! You did very well.

Woody Williams? Is that the former Cardinals pitcher?

This is the 1st thing that came to my mind too. A cut auto of Woody Williams? Quick Google search revealed that there was another Woody Williams who played from 1938-45. I'm pretty sure it's that one.

Sadly, you are incorrect. That signature is indeed of the recently retired Cardinals pitcher. Why is it limited to only 3? Not a clue.

I'm not sure what the cost is on these, but I would have to guess that it isn't worth the break at all.

Ok, not trying to rain on anyone's parade who is cracking this stuff, but I'm impressed that people are interested in a product like this. Obviously with custom cuts as a hobby of mine, I'm probably more in tune with the going rates of signed 3x5s than most on here, but I've heard of a lot of people breaking this product and this is really the first "big" break I've paid attention to.

For coltsnsox07, what did you get in your 6 boxes that make this break look good?

My best auto was Carl Hubbell 2/54, guys like Billy Pierce, Ed Yost, George Altman, Jerry Reuss, at the LCS guys sell single cards from boxes we open and my case has a big stack of these at $5 each and no one has touched them for weeks. I can't even remember the other names, a couple are numbered to 104 and a few are numbered to 10 or 11, no rhyme or reason. I liked the odds at the A list guys like Ruth, Cobb etc. I think 1/150 boxes but the misses are brutal(boxes are now at about $129 now)

I agree, very suprised to see the amount of this product opened. To me these cuts not only look terrible the checklist contains more than a few head scratchers.

Wow. I stand corrected. The thought of that Woody Williams being in a product like this is mind boggling.

I believe that no TTM collection is complete without a woody williams, so that is the retired cards pitcher.

For some reason I want to throw him in the same class as Bob Wickman and Matt LeCroy

At $175/box I won't be opening anymore any time soon...that's for sure. I thought I scored on those low numbered ones (like the Woody Williams) until I realized who the guy actually is (scratching head with a puzzled look on my face).

I guess the only saving grace I had is the Nolan Ryan and all the other low-numbered retired HOF'ers.

Thanks for your comments so far guys...always a pleasure.

Sad, but true.I have several Williams autographs, and his signature looks exactly like the one shown here.If you write him he even sends back one of his religious cards.Easy, easy, signature to obtain.

Ouch. What people seem to be unaware of is that at least 50% of the players can be easily obtained TTM for the price of a 2 stamps. Hell, in the last couple months I have received TTM returns from 4 of the players in this break.

Of the HOF'er autos, that were pulled, all have countless certified autos available on the market that are more visually appealing and valuable than these index cards. If someone is looking for a big gamble, that's great I guess. But all of those index cards could probably have been purchased off ebay or signed TTM for well under the price of one box.
