Considering trading my Strasburg black die cut for the following regular die cuts (seems like a pretty good trade):

Lincecum
Pujols
Desmond Jennings
Aaron
Munson
Seaver
Winfield
Schmidt

Any thoughts on this trade would be welcome!

if you do not mind paying shipping(or have a free shipping factory set) and are being offered all those die cuts for a Strasburg black die i would do it in a heart beat but thats me

Thanks! I paid $80 for the Strasburg black and think I could flip some of these pretty easily and recoup that and still have a few more left for my PC (Lincecum, Jennings)

Why were Buster Posey and Joey Votto left out of this set? Could they be in another giveaway like Gehrig and Jeter? I would say released in series 2, but nearly every big name is in the set already. Any ideas?

This is me writing because I can't sleep and I'm frustrated with a few things in life. Writing is therapeutic for me sometimes. This may be boring, but you are welcomed to read if you like.

I had a crazy weekend with these die-cuts. I started the weekend with 6. I had McCann, Chipper, Heyward, Tim Hudson, Jurrgens, and Prado. For some reason... I accidentally hit accept trade for about 10 1987 Topps stars/ hall of famers. I thought I was clicking reject all and I had hit accept all. I hate the fact that there is not an "are you sure?" button. Fortunately it was the only one that got away and that it wasn't for a single common card. I was sick, as not only did I feel that I set money on fire, but McCann in my favorite player.

So I frantically tried to get it back. No go for the better part of a day. Couldn't even trade for a common. Well, I decided to unlock 19 codes (only 18 worked) that I had lying around from series 2 last night. I hit 0 Die-cuts. I did unlock a pretty good amount of vintage cards, but nothing overwhelming. I then started trading...

Trade 1:

I traded:
1959 Kent Hadley (Rc)
1959 Ellis Burton
1960 Joe Morgan (A's)
1967 Bill Kelso/ Don Wallace (star rookies)

For:
Alex Rodriguez Diamond Die-cut

Trade 2:

I traded:
4x 1970's commons
4x 1987's from my aforementioned disaster (Brett, Puckett, Gwynn, Molitor)
1989 Tony Gwynn

For: Fausto Carmona Die-cut

Trade 3:

Carmona for a Billy Wagner for my Braves set!

Trade 4:

Arod for a BLACK Diamond Michael Young! Pretty pumped about this one.

Trade 5:

I traded:
2x 1970's cards ... 1 was a '74 Athletics World Series Summary card
3x early 1980's commons
1984 Oakland A's checklist with Rickey Henderson
5x 1987's (Boggs, Schmidt, Sandberg, Ozzie Smith, Seaver)

For:

Kelly Johnson Die-cut

Trade 6:

I traded $6.03 on Ebay and a 1997 Shane Andrews for a Billy Butler Die-cut.

I now have 9 including my first black! Still looking for a McCann. If you have one, lets trade!

Thanks for the long read.

Best thread I ever started. The Die-cuts are the reason not to sell your codes. You are taking a chance, but aren't we all when we open a pack? These are my in-hand codes. Thinking about getting the Mantle and Koufax graded. These will be the best insert set of the year and they are only available through the redemption process. Have not unlocked a black but have done pretty good. Those came from 120 codes. Have only unlocked 1 in series 2, but only 4 codes put in.

Good stuff Rev!

Agreed, this set is really addictive. Only have two so far but would like a few more.
