I've got mixed feelings on these. I want to like them, but it just seems too over the top and distracting. It could be the way they look when the light hits the gold though. The silver ink also looks like ****; it's all blotchy and streaked. I had really high expectations for these. Maybe I'm being a little hard on them...

Nah, I think you're right on the mark Mag. They have potential, but it's yet another example of Panini flashing signs of what could be, only to come up short in the end. Given the price point of this product that silver auto is unacceptable.

I'm not a huge fan - mainly because of the price point.
If it was $100 to me it may be something worth checking out.......at $200 I better be wow'd and that;'s not the case with what I've seen so far.

I agree with the silver auto's....they look like crap...just like when they used the silver sharpies in 2009 Classic's School Colors :(

This is one of many reasons why I hope this product comes with a KY Jelly box topper.

 and they were in the video talking about how the paint doesn't smudge and how fast it would dry ::facepalm::

Wow, that's even worse than the two in their preview gallery.

I like the silver auto cards. Clearly, some of the players don't give two ***** on what the cards look like, or they would've switched pens once it started drying out. Unless of course Panini only sent one pen to the player(s), then it's on Panini.

All of the Baldwin autos ive seen so far are crisp, not streaky or smudged.

This card is beautiful IMO.

I was thinking about something...why the hell are they putting diamonds onto cards? When I think of diamonds, I think of women...Gold and diamonds...apparently Panini believes we have all have grown vaginas.

That's hilarious! I guess I'm staying away from both. Maybe I'll pick up a box of gridiron gear, and a chrome. Love the rookie class, and kinda bored with bowman draft. The silver autos do look pretty awful.

I think the gold standard has potential, but you must be very picky about the auto's. Singles is the way on this product.
