I had redemptions pending for the 2011 TC Nishioka base and gold autos. When I came home from work today I had 2 packages waiting for me informing that they will not be fulfilled :( . As replacements I got a 2009 TC Longoria and 2011 TC Gold Mike Stanton :D .

Value wise I got pretty good replacements as I spent about $150 for the 2 redemptions. Looked at the bay and these will fetch about the same amount. I have another redemption for the Nishioka Marquee Museum auto and that's probably going to be replaced as well. Really bummed I'm not getting Nishioka's auto though. Also annoyed that Topps did not contact me about the replacements or if I had any preferences for player or team. I guess that's the risk of gambling on redemptions. Just a heads up if anybody else is waiting on this redemption.

I'll probably keep the Longoria but since I don't prospect the Stanton is FS/FT.

That's kind of lame, especially since he spent half the season not playing. It's not like he didn't have time to sign.

Other than the rarity factor, I'd say you definitely got the better deal with the replacements. You could easily sell one of those and pick up 2-3 of Nishioka's AU cards from BBM in Japan.

No surprise. Didn't he have redemptions in other stuff as well. Probably thinks his auto is worth 50X times than what it's worth.

What pisses me off about your replacement is that Topps won't honor the expired RHR auto Longo anymore (like the one I have), but still have them and will freely give them out.

Topps can suck it.

It's always been like that. Redemption is another name for Replacement. They should put that on the replacement, I mean redemption card. It should state that "This card will be replaced by another card. Enjoy what we send you."

I hear you there. I have 3 of those expired redemptions. after hours on the phone, no dice on getting them redeemed. Said it was a promotion not a straight redemption and the promotion expired.
