2011 Topps Allen & Ginter MOJO!! Scans Added!! UPDATED!!

I break boxes every once and a while. Mostly blasters and on rare occassions Hobby boxes. I have never had anything close to a significant hit. I have been wanting to pick up some A&G. Well today I had a meeting near an LCS so I stopped in and got a box for $100.

Love the product , but had very low expectations. Was excited when I pulled an auto (Andres Torres). Then I got really stoked when I pulled an Alex Rios Rip Card /25. The rest of the box was pretty uneventful. I discussed with the guys at the shop whether to rip it or not. I proposed a trade. The rip card for another box of my choosing out of an unopened case he had just gotten in. The shop owner agreed so I selected my box and began ripping it as well.

In the 1st pack I pulled a Mickey Mantle NNO Mini. Not bad. Sixth pack, I pulled a Miguel Cabrera Mini Silk /10!! A few packs later, another Rip Card!! This time it was Starlin Castro /99. I didn't think too long on this one...I ripped it. Inside was an Adrian Gonzalez Mini SSP.

Needless to say, I was pretty happy. I will post scans later of all the hits. Thanks for reading.

Wow Mike really they are getting 100 bucks?
As for the rip (Rios) I would have sold it. But since you traded it and got to pick another Box and then landed another
Rip card I would have then sold the Castro and try to get my 100 back atleast. :lol: But really you did not do to bad if you got
2 boxes...1 silk and 2 rips for about 50 a box in this case (or 2 cases) in this case :lol:

I know. I saw the Rios previous sale later, but I wanted the immediate gratification of picking another box. I agree with hindsight that I should have sold it, but I am still happy with my decision.

The Mantle and Ludwick are NNO Minis. The Adrain Gonzalez is the SSP I pulled from the Rip card.

Went shopping with the kids to Wally World and saw that they had A&G blasters. Bought one on a whim fully expecting my bad ripping luck to return. Nothing really of note until this...

Already on ebay. Hoping to get at least the price of the box out of it. Last one went for $22.

If the OP is happy then good.... but imo the card shop owner took serious advantage of him. Yes the $225 was pretty high... but knowing he could have probably easily got $160-$180 for the first rip... and the hobby store owner if he got the boxes from topps... paid about 70 bucks per box or less.... $100 is a very steep price for ginter. They may have gone up since I last checked but $80 is what I paid (sticker price) at my lcs....
