Product Name: 2011 Topps American Pie

Description:
2011 Topps “American Pie” will feature great moments, events, and people with a focus on pop culture, film, television and music. Packs will include base cards, autograph cards, and relic cards of living and deceased subjects.

Number of Subjects: Approximately 40 individual subjects will be featured in the pack.

Term: 12 months

Dimesions: 2.5” x 3.5” flat trading card

Number of Autographs: 250 autographs to be collected on Topps certified labels at subject’s convenience.

Relic: A relic of the subject will be requested at the autograph signing. In the past, items have included articles of clothing or unique personal objects associated with the subject’s career (eg. Costumes, etc).

Image/ Likeness: Subject grants non-exclusive rights to image and likeness.

Approvals: Topps grants subject approvals of image prior to printing

Distribution: Product will be distributed in major retail stores and hobby stores throughout the United States. All cards will be randomly inserted into sealed packs.

Estimated Price Per Pack: $3.99

Marketing: There will be no formal marketing other than sales solicitations sent directly to distributors and hobby store owners for order requests.

Shipping: Cards will be sold starting in November 2011.

:lol: Maybe this is why the trading card landscape is so jacked up. I'm sure this is plenty common.

But... I doubt there is a Tom Delonge, Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker, Scott Raynor, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, or Tre Cool autograph to be had in the set.

Sigh, Topps really needs to focus on improving their core sports products, but instead they throw together a non-sport product filled with sticker autos, cut autos of living people, and more manufactured patches and letters. To me this reeks of a poor mans Pop Century product.
