Every year I put together the base set of Topps football. Usually I accomplish this by buying two jumbo boxes. I've been doing this since 2006 and up until this break I had never hit a Rookie Premiere auto. Here are the highlights from my break:

Some of the cards had corners that were damage pretty badly. As a result I wasn't able to complete the base set from my two boxes. I went to my LCS to purchase four more jumbo packs. In those four packs I pulled a Rookie Red Zone auto (unfortunatley not one of the big name rookies) and another Emmanuel Sanders game day auto. Two autos in four packs. Not bad.

All-in-all I would say this was a pretty fun break. It seems that Topps has a bit of a coalition issue. Neither of my boxes had any gold parallels but every pack had a Bowman mini. None of the four packs I bought at the LCS had a bowman mini but they all had gold parallels. I'm pretty happy with this break.

Those are some nice hits. I bet there's someone here who would be interested in that Rudolph.

Can't complain when you pull two 1st Round offensive stars as your two Rookie patches...Congrats!

Not at all. Easily the best jumbo break I've had in the last five years. I would have loved to have hit one of the big rookie autos, but I'm really not going to complain. I accomplished my goal of finishing the set and had fun doing it.

I bet Craig/decepticon1978 would love a shot at the Rudolph.

Nice box - you got a nice patch on the Ingram!

I'm pretty sure Topps did not make as much of this as they have in the past. I've pulled, and watched at the shop, so many better hits like Super Bowl Legend autos/25, red ink Rookie Premier autos, jumbo patch autos etc. than ever before from Topps football boxes. By the way, I had a Terry Bradshaw Super Bowl Heroes auto/25 just end at $255 tonight!

I agree. This is the first year I'm going to try to complete the Topps Chrome set. Usually I just buy two boxes and call it a day, but this I think I'm in for a bit more than that.

Crap, I forgot Deceptikon collects Notre Dame players. I want to start collecting Kyle Rudolph. :(
