The Hank Aaron shows up as a freaking redemption, what a waste.

Don't hate Topps, hate Hank for not getting the cards back in time for pack out. But still a giant value add getting Aaron autos in the product!
sorry, BS
Sorry BS back at you. You think Topps just held onto signed HANK cards just for quit swearing So they can have to pay all postage and packing and mailing and add have to deal with hassle of redemptions?
no, I don't think they held them. I think they dropped the ball getting them signed in time for pack out.

nobody's fault but topps, especially if they just mail them to Hank and expected them back. Should have been signed with a rep.

You make this big effing announcement that you got Koufax & Aaron, and the first product they're in, one's a redemption?

FAIL

Yep, I'm sure Topps just didn't get Hank cards in time to sign. Even though other guys like Koufax, Gibson, Banks all got cards in time and signed them. They just decided, we will just get Hank last and not in time for pack out. So we have to spend all the time with redemptions, packing and mailing them out on our dime. Makes perfect sense.

Schmidtfan you house the red ink Gibson. I know on PSA thread a few were tempted but thought in few weeks they will be had for less.

justify it all you want. it's still a fail by topps.

they should have done whatever was neccesary to get the Aaron autos live in the product

And to add - the red autos fall how any per case? And it's a Gibby?

yeah, I'd say that's easily a $175 - $225 card.
autos period are only 2-3 per case, let alone reds
Hobby boxes are stated as 1 auto or relic per box, I doubt its 2-3 autos per case that would be a disastrous roll-out even from Topps ::facepalm::
autos are 2-3 per case, period.

ask any of the Heritage collectors or case-busters.

most hobby boxes have 1 relic, that's it

Topps Heritage always uses great paper stock for the base cards, i wish it wasnt so costly and that they'd make Topps like that again

I have thought about just buying ink and forgetting about wax and picking up a master set later. I have no doubt
that master sets will be very plentiful this year, however I just can't forget about ripping heritage this year. That
Gibson red is a beauty and so was the Banks auto, but I know those prices will cool down. If anyone has any
autographs they want to trade please let me know.

Thanks
Kevin

Not a steal by any means.....several will close higher with the initial rush but prices will settle.

I think the coin cards are a cool idea, but I'd have a hard time adding them to my collection since Topps couldn't manage to put the coins in right-side up!

Well I guess Topps should have just sent a crew of guys to stake out Hank. Kidnap him, put a gun to his head. You either sign these heritage cards or we shoot you. That might have got it done.

I totally agree, that was the first thing I thought when I saw the Feller.

How hard is it to get that coined turned in the right direction...

For what it is worth, the silver melt value in that card alone is worth $13 or so.

Nice Stan The Man auto. Some nice HOF ink in it this year. It's so early to gauge prices. But you would think some of these big names could be pretty sp'd.
Any idea in past the #'s on regular blue auto print runs in 200-250 range? Schmidtfan any ideas?

What kind prices are local money pits selling boxes for?

Definitely digging the Stan Musial, wonder how high it will go though and interested to hear how SP blue ink is.

All blue inks are unnumbered with a print run of 200, at least that's what usually happens with Heritage. The 2006 Heritage Musial auto used the same pic since Stan didn't have a card in the actual 1957 Topps set.

I fully agree. I picked up a blaster yesterday just out of curiosity to see what they would be like and was pretty impressed. I can't wait to see next year's Heritage and that one might be the set I put together for 2012. I'm already dedicated to the regular Topps issue for this year.
