Re: 2011 UD USA Box

Nice stuff, thanks for sharing...

One of the reasons that I usually like the USA set is for the really nice autos. However, in the case of Touki Toussaint; if you're only freakin' 16 and already too damn lazy to sign your name, that's just outright ridiculous.

Are the toussaint and marrero numbered? Touki seems to have the silvery ink that the 1/1s had last year.

I don't know about Fulmer, as his commitment to Vandy is pretty strong. Especially with the new cba, it is more likely that high school players may go to college. Of course, i might just be hopeful.

I'd say Stroman (college) and Collins (16) are also candidates for the list.

Personally, I am really scaling back my usual flipping of usa guys for the draft this year. The new rules are so different, it'll be hard to tell. Plus there is such a lack of clarity about the top guys (remember McCullers being a consensus top 3?), that it'll be really hard to tell.

But all the guys you listed seem to be the highest selling ones now, especially Meadows, marrero and appel. Gausman has too much out there already for me to want to get his new cards.

Top Players:

Marcus Stroman
Walker Weickel
Gavin Cecchini
Deven Marrero
Mark Appel
Austin Meadows

...and sleeper:

Tom Murphy

Overall though, the 2012 draft crop is a bit underwhelming overall. I still believe in Albert Almora, Nelson Rodriguez, and Lance McCullers....all of which have better cards available than this set.

99 on red 25 on silver

Are they hand numbered like in the past or machine stamped this year? Also, I guess the numbering is on the back... I remember it being on the front in the past. My set should be here tomorrow.

That patch card is perhaps the best looking USA patch card I have seen. Wow does that thing look nice.
