These seem to have taken a huge jump recently. C'mon $107 for a Fontenot Cubs plain jersey #'ed to 100...

VERY popular Topps Insert year in and year out. i dont think they'll get "cheaper"

This could be true, but for a time they had taken a dip. I picked up my Fontenot, the only one from the set I've won so far, for $24.

I remember that auction. Missed it but glad it went to a good home.

Wonder if a huge premium would be paid out if someone offered the complete set on ebay?

+1
I completely agree and am constantly shocked at how much some of these are going for, I'm just hoping that they start to drop at some point in the next few years.

I got super lucky, there were two or three Fontenot's ending around the same time and I grabbed this one while the other two went in the $40+ range.

A 2010 Topps World Series Robinson Cano Relic/Auto #/50 sold for ~$75.

I wonder how much the 2010 design has to do with the prices.

Honestly I think a World Series win means more to Giants fans than a Yankee fan at this point. So I think that drives the popularity of the set. Not to knock the Yankees, they have just won a lot more.

Yeah, these always sell insanely well. They usually begin to drop off in price after 1-2 years, but always hold premiums.
