I don't know what the market is for GU pants, but player collectors would probably want the card more than anything. Surely a 1/1, right? Even with no photo, that's a cool item to have in your collection. Actually, why no photo? They could've had pictures of the players' butts or something, saying,"All this will be yours."

I've bought Zimmerman GU Batting Gloves for $75, and unless I was trying to get a full uniform, I'd rather have the gloves. Pants would be one of the lowest GU items I'd want.

I'd probably sell that if I pulled it, or like others said, just like to have the card as a possible 1/1 (I'm assuming these are).

If I got $100 for the redemption, I'd be happy.

Years ago Upper Deck did redemption cards for full signed autographed jerseys.
I was lucky enough to pull one for a Larry Bird signed Mitchell and Ness jersey. I ended up buying redemption cards for a Barkley jersey, Peyton jersey, and a Peyton mini helmet.
I was able to buy the redemption cards for far less than buying the actual items from UD. UD also did redemption cards for used golf items as well.

Anybody know what year that was?

In 2003, Sweet Spot had instant win redemption cards for full GU items. Sabathia had a hat you could 'pull'.

I'm sure there are many more examples.

Way to go Topps, it took 10 years to catch up with the other manufacturers, but at long last you have finally "surpassed amazing".

My thoughts exactly. I only bought a pair of Erstad pants because it went with the jersey (alternate green White Sox) I already had.

There is a market for these. This is a little known fact, but board member leatherman has a pair of Cameron Maybin game used pants that he still wears pretty much on a daily basis.
