Maine of course......
...one of my favorite topics.....

http://baseballhall.org/news/press-rele ... -out-today" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Larkin is only one elected......I loved Jack Morris in his time. He was Big Game for sure but don't think he has the numbers.

Will some dumb writer throw a vote to Tony Womack? If so, boot him from the BBWAA....

(edit, just looked and did not remember that Womack actually led NL 3 years in a row in SBs ;) )

Weak list.

I say Morris, Gonzo, or Mattingly.

I would love to see Radke in there, but that won't happen.

Larkin and Bagwell should both make it and Raines is deserving but probably gets screwed again.

Here are the guys that deserve to get in...

The ballot:

Jeff Bagwell
Juan Gonzalez
Barry Larkin
Don Mattingly
Fred McGriff
Mark McGwire
Jack Morris
Rafael Palmeiro
Tim Raines
Larry Walker

Of that, Bagwell and Larkin are the only likely inductees.

...hey, the fact he made the HOF ballot is a feat in-and-of itself. :D It just pisses me off when one or two votes are thrown towards clear NON-HOFers.....

...I bet Edgar will be 40% or so, just up from last year.....

Re: 2012 HOF Ballot out today.

Jeff Bagwell
Juan Gonzalez
Mark McGwire
Rafael Palmeiro

All are either suspected, admitted, or proven PED users...none of these 4 gets in.

So if anyone that's in the HOF currently is ever suspected, admitted or proven to be a PED user, should they get the boot?

I think there are several deserving candidates but the only one that gets in is Larkin.

Re: 2012 HOF Ballot out today.

Barry Larkin switched over from MLB Network to ESPN just for this reason.... he is seen more and will likely benefit from the added exposure.

Hopefully he returns to MLB Network soon.

Re: 2012 HOF Ballot out today.

Bagwell won't get in this time.
He only got 41% of the vote last year because he's suspected by some to have used steroids.
If anyone gets in, it will be Larkin.

Dale Murphy has always been one of my favorite players, and he is running out of ballot time.

Initially, only ones I'd vote for are Bagwell and Gonzalez.

With that said, I don't think any are "shoe-ins".
