I love the looks of the buybacks but don't like the "newer" Leaf auto cards.

Edit: nevermind I zoomed in and realized they are sticker autos on the new cards

Think it's a great idea. Is there a full on card auto checklist somewhere showing the other 50? I wouldn't mind picking up one of those Boggs cards, that's for sure.

are the new cards sticker autos? For some reason, it looks like the autos are on a clear window of some kind.

Look cool. Looking forward to seeing them live.

The Ichiro on card would be awesome. Get er done.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the Harold Reynolds and Kevin Maas cards. I'm excited for new cards of my players.

for a small release like this, there is no need for stickers.

want to be taken more seriously? step up your game and make everything 100% on-card, at the very least

If the buybacks were stickers then yeah. The prospect autos are filler for the most part and if you have Ichiro and Pujols stickers you use them (especially since we're probably talking 4-6 of each) to add to the hunt. Makes total sense from Leaf's perspective. We all wish every auto was on-card but from an affordability and availability standpoint I think it's acceptable content in today's hobby "climate". People aren't paying more for 5 Star on card autos so until buyers put up or shut up.....

Damn auto-correct

oh, i thought this was a fairly expensive product.

if its a few dollars a pack, then using the old stickers on new product is ok i suppose

The foil stamped /20, /5 and /1 originals will be tough for us 90's player collectors. Really hoping Grace is one of the unnamed buyback autos.

The ability to make just 29 total autographs on the original content relies on stickers... How do I call Piazza and ask him to sign 29 pieces? Doesnt work like that.

The buybacks are ALL ON-CARD which is why only 70 or so of the guys were possible for this first set...

The good news is that additional buyback autos will be in future releases with hopes of someday getting most of the 528 card set signed!

That's actually a good point, haven't heard the price yet. Maybe I spoke too soon but either way the prospects aren't gonna carry this product

So the Leaf Buyback Autos have a "Memories" Logo embossed on top left in foil, and are serial numbered on front? Are they 3rd party authenticated and/or will they be accompanied by a COA card?

if the buybacks are all hard signed, why cant Piazza (or any other "name player") be?

i understand getting things like that are difficult, but honestly, thats what you as a non-MLB producer, has to get done.

i know this product will sell out regardless, and theres no denying that is a "good thing" for LEAF. But think about the bigger picture, how about LEAF becoming known as "The company that got rid of stickers altogether"

So get on that plane (tickets arent that much for a multi-million dollar company like LEAF) and fly to Piazza, have him sign the cards, then head home.

I could be mistaken - but I think I remember BG saying stickers are sometimes necessary a couple times here.
