I hope that list at the top is not the final list, I posted ahead of some of those people. I can't make the live even either, my dart league mandatory meeting is tonight at the exact same time. I'm new and kind of confused by the process here, I'm very active in collecting on YouTube but do very little on boards due to some bad experiences elsewhere. I hope to win something and broaden my collecting experience to include this board, I'm sure my 1500+ subscribers would like to see what this board has to offer. Thanks again for the contest, good luck to everyone!

I think what he might be referring to is the first ten people or so that got spots in this. They were the first ones to post and automatically received slots. Probably could have waited a little longer so the first spots could have actually been randomized. You didn't update the list daily with new names so you can't really say that they received spots because they were the only ones to post on that day.

Im in no way saying this was rigged because it was not, but I see where he is coming from if you just look at the first ten spots or so because those were not randomized.

Lets not all hate on a new member just because he views something different than we do.

The comment about no one cares about your YouTube super stardom or whatever you said is really uncalled for coming from the person that runs this site. Though our interactions, honestly sir you have just rubbed me the wrong way with some of the things you post.

I realize its your site and giveaways and all of that, but sometimes I just feel like you're rude and to put it frankly a dick.

Just because that guy didn't really understand how the contest was running there was no need for the comment you made. If he just looked at the front page then it's pretty clear that one could assume people were getting slots based on when they posted, hence his comment. You could have explained the rules to him or told him something different than what you did.

Please note, I did not see that I even got a spot, until sometime last week, and it seems it was up there for awhile before that......

In almost all contests someone posts, I post to enter not intending to win...and I have only won I think 2 out of about 30 or do. And I can careless either way if I win or not. I just post, like they ask to add to the amount of people in their given contest. I'm also glad people have contests, it seems to add to the boards. But I never complain about not getting in on a freebie.

Could Chris have been more diplomatic? Sure. But only for the sake of other potential members considering joining or becoming more involved in the community. Not for this guy who posts for the first time in 2 years and then complains for not winning a spot while throwing around his YouTube weight. Do we want more members? Yes. Do we want more clowns that can't function like an adult within a social environment? No.

and... last time I checked, free giveaways were simply that... FREE... I think the person giving things away can provide whatever rules, clarifications, etc. he wants... if you don't like it, then keep moving

To be honest, this place is getting to be more like a social club, then a community board.
Go ahead and flame away, "hes mad that he did not make the cut", but I think if you look closely youll see thats not the case....

So instead of posting JUST to get a spot like many people always do, some people opted to say that it was a nice gesture. Boom - suddenly those 12 had spots. We had no idea we were going to be picked or why. We were told it was a surprise first set of entries for those faithful enough to the board to merely post positive review. The rest were completely random, and I don't know what anyone else could want. There is always going to be someone butthurt in the end. And to the Hudson guy, he's the one acting like a pompous ass as though his falsely inflated YouTube subscriber count means anything. He deserved the response he got, because no one here is or ever will be entitled. It's also easy to get 1500 subscribers by spamming other box break videos offering contests for people that subscribe. I would guarantee 1000+ of those subscribers never watch his videos.

If some of these members that are just now popping in, would be on here more.. they would see that more than Chris and Brian give cards away for free..

Some of us older collectors like to keep the new blood coming back, so from time to time we do see members that need their PC (Personal Collection for those that don't post often) enhanced with some great looking cards..

Pop in the MT, enjoy a cup of coffee, danish, etc.. and enjoy the site..

I've been here 4 years, <-- this many posts, and this is the first time I've been picked for one of these deals. I'm not in any club, clique, group, or other poster classification that I know of. I don't know any board members personally, AFAIK, I barely notice who posts what. I don't participate in flame wars, bandwagoning, company-bashing, or cheerleading. I just post my opinions on things that I have an opinion on, with the occasional wry quip, if I feel like typing it out. I posted in this thread a rather generic comment and was selected. No need for hurt feelings, and no point in complaining about this sort of thing. I am pretty happy though now that I've gone back and looked at the cards that might be awarded. So thanks in advance, Brian and Gilmo.
