Why is it a good idea to mark the Hot Boxes?
Agreed, these end up getting pulled and sold for higher prices. I would much rather it be a blind hot box where no one knows and you're taking the chance like any other wax break.
agree 100%, I think the only people who like it are the box sellers as they can double the price on that 1 box.
We had 40+ emails with regard to hot boxes in football.. 80%+ were upset they were not marked in Valiant..
It clearly benefits the case buyer/buster.. It seems most who oppose it are smaller box buyers..
Leaf has to do those things that allow our distributors and dealers the best chance of doing well with our products, without harming the end user..
As always, if feedback shifts negatively to this method, we will reassess for sure..
If it helps, hot boxes are not easy in this product. They will be a tough pull.. They will not "dilute" the rest of the boxes,.. We are not giving them an exclusive color like in our football releases..

I understand the sentiment, and I actually support it, but I'm curious how you justify it not hurting the end user when there is a significant amount of people who are only purchasing individual boxes. Would it not be easier to try having hot boxes that aren't marked and see how that goes over in comparison to what you already know?
Is this a fact?

If Leaf stops marking hot boxes are collectors going to write an email telling you that they are glad Leaf stopped marking them? Probably not.
If Leaf stops marking hot boxes are box sellers going to write an email in disgust because they aren't making as much profit? Probably.
Look at this thread. You restart marking hot boxes and collectors think it is a bad idea. I'm sure that those who sell hot boxes for profit aren't complaining.
When you stopped making hot boxes 80% of your emails supported marking them. Now that you have restarted marking hot boxes it seems that the response isn't any where near 80% in support.
But, if unmarked hot boxes don't improve sales, why do them?
