2012 Leaf Rose discussion

If you wait a couple of months Walmart will have them discounted.
My Walmart has Sage Hit and Leaf Draft blasters at 40% off already.
I have a feeling with Pete's world class reality show coming out, I'm sure people will be flocking for his autos.

But with the release of these Rose sticker autos, will it not simply enhance the allure and demand of the on card autos from the Rose/Inscription product? At the very least I can not see how putting these sticker autos in to the market will have any ill effect of value on the on card stuff. This is not to say I think BG should be doing this but I fail to see how this is a bad thing for collectors (specifically retail buyers) with regards to the actual product.

Lol, I actually bought one of the discounted leaf football draft blasters from target, got home and opened it to find out the auto and rg3 cards were missing. Seems I may have ben a victim of the ole buy/search/wrap and return scam.....

Funny how everybody screams about hating sticker autos and go on and on about how bad they are. But now try and compare a sticker auto to on card autos with inscriptions like it's the same thing.

To a lot of people they are. People hate Chrome too but it doesn't keep them from buying it up and flipping it.

I don't think the product is a good move but Im also not going to rant OVER AND OVER AND OVER on the board about it.

I still think its funny how BG is so confident about his products. He boasted that Ultimate Draft Football was going to blow away any and everything in the pre-season football market. Still waiting....

So you expect him to NOT be confident about his product? Do you expect him to say "Ahh...It's an OK product but there are better one's"? This is where you have to separate the hype from reality in anything in life. Hype is the reason the RonCo guy sold millions of items like the pocket fisherman back in the 70's and 80's. Hype is why the guy who beat his wife sold millions of Sham Wow's. What did they all have in common? They were confident in their product. Confidence is the name of the game.

Its not an issue of attributes but an issue of residual value. Which is now smashed by he sheer volume of autos and the retail placement of this product.

I really think you are overstating your opinion. To say this 'generic' Rose product that is really nothing like the original Rose/Inscriptions product, that is being marketed and sold to retail outlets, is going to "smash' the residual value of an earlier product that features a different design, all on card autos and diverse inscriptions (none of which the new rose/sticker retail product has) is a bit of a stretch. If anything, the new sticker rose auto cards will only make the earlier, on card inscription cards more desirable.

Is there anything you can get out of the packs besides base cards?
If not, Just curious, on why you made packs instead of just sets that includes an autograph?


btw, I opened some boxes and the card looks and feels like Just Minors...

I think the redemption could have been put in the pack with the Auto... add a decoy so u dont know if you have the redemtion and include a full set with the auto. Having packs for just base cards seems kinda dumb. If they had parallels I could see having packs.... but just base... just include a 50 card set instead.
