Poor Melky. You'd think they'd provide him a translator. All that talking, and he didn't understand a lick of it. They gave him a car.. what are the chances he even has a license?

"Melky, who are these people you have with you?"

"I want to thank you. I am happy. I am happy here."

"Melky... *long spiel*"

"I thank the city, I thank my mother, my grandmother."

Did no one think of his limitation with English beforehand?

Nice, you and me might be the only two on these boards who get the reference. Atlee was never the same after that game. Great showing for the Giants tonight!

Tim McCarver is an idiot. While Michael Bourn was batting, McCarver said the Braves just passed the Mets in the NL Central standings. Where's Deion Sanders when you need him?

yep, another reason I think the old fart needs to retire. Joe Buck said something else wrong/stupid (but I forget what) that makes me think he's been there too long, also. Both are getting complacent in the booth. I think FOX needs to take the 5 or so crews that do the weekly games and decide by quality of work who will do the ASG and WS each season.

i have a thought tonight when I saw Mike Trout bat that hadn't occurred at any other time I have watched the Angels play this season - my thought is that the Angels could have two very good "fishy" players in their franchise history - we had Tim Salmon and now it appears Mike Trout is headed to stardom in an Angels suit. I suppose with Buck and McCarver in the booth, I have strange thoughts. ;)

Two quotes from McCarver tonight - talking about Bryce Harper "He is the first youngest...." - don't even need to finish the quote. "first youngest" Nice

Then talking about Cano and Hamilton's swings - "...they have the most tension swing swings" - I THINK he was trying to say "tension-less swings" but he wasn't even close.

What's even funnier is the obvious chuckles as it went to commercial by the commentators.
I didn't even think to think it was about Melky and his speech, I thought they were laughing at the MELK MAN commercial. That is hilarious.
