I see that they already dropped the price on BO. 1350 for 4 box case or 340 a box instead of 400/1600. It also says on the sell sheet 8 cards per pack, but close by on the same page it says 8 auto/mem cards and one booklet card. So is it 8 or 9 cards?

Why did this product drop so much so quickly? It's not even out yet. Is there something wrong with production?

I am looking into this. No new emails with price drop yet from any of my distributors. I guess the MAPP changed on this product.

Per Panini: Effective immediately, the Retail MAPP price will not be in place for this product. The SRP for this product is $400.

Let me start by saying, I think the cards look really nice. But the price point of $50 per card is NUTS for an unlicensed prodcut like this. Every other card would have to be a Trout autograph, griffey autograph, Pujols autograph to just break even. And we all know that is not feasible. Sadly this stuff will likely drop much faster than Five Star baseball, especially once the secondary market rejects the unlicensed cards.

I hope you're right, this stuff looks really nice and if it bottoms out the purchase becomes a whole lot easier to handle.

This stuff has a better price point per card than all previous Panini high end baseball products. It could surprise, or it could tank. Depends on the HOF/Stars to rookie autos ratio. I'm hoping it'll be decent since I pre-ordered a few cases (well below MAPP). Guess we'll find out for sure in a couple weeks.

Looks like it dropped again. 335/box or 4/1335. I wish there was a more detailed checklist but its gonna be good from what I seen. Lots of game used ball cards though, not sure what i think about those. What do you all think this will do to the booklet market? In the past booklets have been fairly rare with only a few numbered to more than 5. This products boasts one per box, with some numbered to 25.

with no Mapp here, we are really seeing what this product might be worth. Crazy that Mapp was $400 and boxes are now selling for $335.

There is a thread on BO with people complaining that Panini did everyone wrong because cost is 300 and mapp was suppose to be 400 , but now no mapp so not much profit to be made for the little guy. I just think nobody was buying in at the mapp price, therefore they had to lower it to sell any. I know 2012 hasnt sold well cause hardly any of the better singles have showed up on ebay in a month and a half.

The only good thing about Mapp is that billy bob can compete with BO/Atl and others for the 1st month a product is out. Other then that I cant stand it.

Boxes are now down to ~$329.95, cases are at $1319.95. Not knowing what the direct cost was, I'm wondering how much lower it will/can go before release.

Cost from Panini was $1200/case according to a dealer I work with. I don't think pre-sell prices will go any lower until release, at which point it can go up or down depending on what comes out of this stuff.
