Topps has 360 sets left. I can't see them selling many more after releasing that load of crap list. Not only is the set way overpriced, but now it looks like 25 of every 26 sets will have a 10 dolllar autograph in them..and will you even make your money back if you pull Cespedes or Darvish who will most likely be redemption. Heck I don't even believe that live Harper graph is real. Topps has already made 65,000 dollars and hasn't actually sold anything yet. They really could sell
ice to an Eskimo!

Yeah, never underestimate set collectors!

Topps will sell them all. no doubt about that. Selling 1,000 is easy, even with that XXXXty checklist. Now, 10K on the other hand? not so easy

Heritage set collectors have gotten wise by now. In the past opening a bunch of packs was fun. You needed a TON of traders to put together a set. Ripping packs not only got you the cards you need, or the cards someone else needed but also gave us some really nice HOF autograph cards also.....but those days are over. Topps has watered down heritage to almost nothing, short printing the very best cards and leaving us with autograph cards of guys who played no months, or days in the majors, but innings! The worst part is that they are giving us 1-2 autograph cards per case! What is that about?

I have seen a stark move towards heritage set builders wanting it out and just buying a set online. There will be plenty of people dumping these sets after
the autograph is plucked. I would venture to get less than 20% of the number sets sold were to set collectors. The math just isn't there. Most of these sets are being sold the lottery type guy who was hoping to cash in Topps mini style. This appears NOT to be the case.

Juan Pierre.......
At least Pierre finished the year with the Phillies, no? Moyer was released by the Rockies on June 4th (was signed and released by two teams after that). That is more than a month before Ichiro was traded to the Yankees.

Some update.

Edit to add: I guess this is not an update set, but a high numbers set. Still makes me wonder what the hell Moyer is doing in it as a Rockie.

Did he appear in any games this season for those other teams? I can't recall. But hey, its Jamie Moyer. Dude has fans

Well that was a big kick in the nuts. I guess I should learn to wait for the checklist. I figured there might be 10 auto subjects or so not 25. Well it's not the first time I've blown $100 lol.

Yet another opportunity for Topps to put first true rookies of Miguel Gonzalez or Ryan Flaherty, or Nate McLouth in his O's uni and they don't. Hopefully MGonzo and Flaherty are in Draft.

I honestly dont think there are enough Heritage collectors ro fill the need of 1000 sets.

I think you will be surprised. There are 15-20 guys alone at my LCS that build the master set annually.

I don't need a thousand heritage collectors, I will break for my team buyers and player collectors...and if I get lucky, can a Harper red auto !

If Harper was an SP in the regular set, what would it sell for?
Don't you think the singles will sell better than SPs out of Heritage?

Awesome, I was sure he'd never have an A's card when I saw he wasn't in Update, with the PED suspension and all.

Yes, the card I am most excited for in this set is Bartolo Colon.

I caved and bought one. I still had my $10 coupon from the diamond giveaway last year, so that basically made shipping free.

It will be nice to add some autos to my collection. I think almost everyone buying this is hoping they hit a big auto, so the scrubs will be sold off pretty quickly, and they are going to dry up.

And let's be fair here and give credit where credit was due. The auto checklist in this year's Heritage was the best checklist in years. There were plenty of scrubs but a lot more star power than we were used to seeing.
