Is anyone surprised about all the bat knobs that have been hit with BINs? If I had one, I'd definitely do an auction. I wonder how much money the BINs have left on the table?

I'm also surprised how negative people are towards this product. It looks to me to be one of the nicer products in a while. I really like the white autos on the black background. They look very nice.

Oh - and out of curiosity, is a game used bat of these guys really that much more than the price some of the knobs are selling for? I mean, wouldn't you rather have the entire bat?

A lot of collectors only collect cards, not memorabilia. Also there are how many GU bats to the (sometimes one) bat knob cards.

Just based on the number of knobs that have been on eBay, it appears like this product is being ripped pretty quickly.

Had this exact same thought.... I honestly feel like Topps made such a smart move by releasing the pictures of these knobs.... If they did that with all products and gave buyers a sneak peak inside what the hot hits will be, it starts to get people excited because you can actually see what you can actually pull... just my opinion.

Otherwise, what knob do you think will have the highest price tag?!

Better looking: 2012 Tier One Prod. Patches or the past years of UD Sweet Spot Jumbos? I am still partial to the players/backgrounds on the SS, but these do look really nice. Plus - auto variations!

I'll take 2005 and 2009 Sweet Spot Classic patches over this set any day. Design-wise I think they both look great, but I give the edge to Sweet Spot Classic due to player selection and the quality of the patches for each player. Even though Sweet Spot Classic had more produced per player, there still seems to be more boring swatches in Topps Tier One, like the plain white swatches for Jeter and Rivera and the piping for some of the other players. The Stargell also looks like a modern jersey patch.

Unless I'm forgetting a set, I'm still waiting for a jumbo patch set with an on-card autograph. Upper Deck did it several times with Exquisite basketball and they are some of the nicest cards I've seen.

I'd guess Ruth. If Clemente breaks $3K, I think Ruth can hit $5K+...which for a GU bat knob would just be nuts....

but then again, if a non-autograph Stephen Strasburg superfractor can sell for $21K, maybe not.

Had to rub in my overpaying, huh?

I am in love with these. I think I can get all the ones I want for the same price that it would cost me to pull one single card I want from busting boxes.

I've seen a few other Sandbergs that look better than that one. I think it's just a bad scan/picture.

Where do you see the prices of these settling (for all players?) I think that Topps hit a homerun with these and am trying to snag a few, but having a hard time on pricing.

Some sales (BIN/BO in parentheses since they may not reflect the market)

Chipper: $340, $375 ($370)
Griffey ($475)
Banks $237
Cabrera $210
Sandberg ($199, $179)
Hamilton ($210)
Mattingly ($200, $150)
