Etching.

Never realized just how much the lack of etching takes away from the overall look.

So Topps, why not baseball?

Remember, they just don't care in baseball. They don't have to. Who is going to make a better prospect card in MLB unis?

Bowman football, for when it is on the release calendar is about as good of a year/class opening product from a company I have seen....maybe ever. 4 Chrome autos a box, tons of inserts and parallels....hard to go wrong with this product.

Yeah, but no company has to worry. Every product is a sell out.

I'd hate to be a Football Fan if Bowman is any indicator of the rest of the year. $10 for a Blue Refractor Auto #/99 or the #1 Overall Pick? Yikes.

I will say I do love all of the color in the boxes. However the low number autos don't go for much. I picked up a Suh Prism 1/1 for $40.00 delivered my 2012 Chrome Super cost me $150.00. Which is kinda crazy being these are the only true 2013 Football Cards at the moment..

Well, being as he was an O-Lineman....thats just going to happen...in any year. No way around that.

Bowman is what it is.....solid on card autos of the best players from the draft. Problem is, there aren't a lot of solid skill players, especially not in the early rounds. I think there are some great RBs in this class that went in the 2nd-5th rounds who will drive later products, but with no QB to rest its hat on this class will struggle.

You WILL see companies cut print runs on products and load up pack content on the higher end stuff to drive demand. Thats definitely what they did with Bowman, and I don't see that changing. If Panini goes with its standard 4 hit, 2 mem, 1RPA and one scrub auto they will be hurting by the end of the year.
