I just can't believe that these numbers are true. That would be horrible if so. Chrome parallels averaging 1/box?? Where did black refractors come from?

why are the parallels so much harder to pull? Does it get balanced out by the minis?

WOW, these bowman throwback autos are going to sell enormous with how tough they are to pull.

Based on the prospect/RC auto odds, in a 12 pack jumbo case, you would be "expected to receive":

Prospect Autos
Base autos: 1.7
Ref Autos: 0.4
Blue: 0.12
Gold: .04
Orange: .02
Purple: .01
Red/Super: Negligible

Total of 2.28 prospect autos per box

RC Autos
Base: .22
Ref: .098
Blue: .06
Gold: .01
Orange+: Negligible

Total: .388

Total: 2.28 + .388 = 2.67

So a few potential things this could mean

A. Odds aren't correct
B. Insert autos make up for that extra .33 autos per box (they therefore replace prospect/RC autos)
C. My math is incorrect

Hopefully the odds aren't correct, because otherwise there are going to be a lot of dry cases

The Mini Chrome Insert set should be pretty valuable. 150 card set, refractors will fall every 2 packs in jumbos. So while they won't be numbered, I don't think we can get all upset about the prospect refractors being so hard to hit. The mini's should be quite sought after...plus, don't forget this your first chance to get a Yasiel Puig that isn't in a Leaf set.

The mini inserts based on these odds would seem to be mass produced. If you are looking at 72 per case, you can probably come close to making a case with 3 jumbo cases. Would be decent value, and prob better than prospect refractors in regular years purely due to the names

1 blue bcp auto per case of jumbo boxes, and one gold bcp auto per 3 cases of jumbo: that is nauseating and shameful for Topps. And for hobby it's 1 blue auto per 2 cases of product and 1 gold au per 6+ cases of product? If they charge $300 a case for hobby and $500 a case for jumbo, the vast majority still wouldn't make their money back on auto and parallel sales alone, I'm sure.

The greed of this company should necessitate a strike from the buyers to take more control of the market and drive down prices and lessen the # of overall cases being produced.

If the odds are true, I, for one, will not be buying any of this wonderful new Bowman product.

Maybe I'm off on this, but based on the #'s, 2013 Bowman is being massively overproduced compared to previous years?

Maybe allocation of jumbos pushed buy orders for regular boxes higher than in previous years? Does Topps produce to cover orders or do they produce x amount of product and when it's sold out, it's sold out?

Perhaps Bowman is being overproduced to compensate for no draft being in retail this year/
